GRINDCORE IS BACK!
Last time it was just stopping by for a visit. You know, to pick up a few things and have a cup of tea and a little chat. This time I think it actually intends to stay for a bit longer. It brought a duffel bag full of clothes with it this time. But maybe it is only staying long enough to do its laundry.
um long story short,
mortician is a band akin to drums on my shoe.
once i ordered a buncha butthole surfers/gonkulator/havohej
junk from AX/CTION or whatever that label was that was in MRR
all the time advertising wierd grind/"blur".
anyways, they never sent what i wanted,
only the mortician and maybe something cool by impaled nazarene,
but it was on cassette or someshit.
anyways, years later, mortician played our town
10 people showed up to see the other 10 people
in this town who really like this junk.
and me, i was there, dressed like a mod in a goth club
watching snarling muscled dudes with no drummer.
i think i later gave the record to some crusty kid who
came to my house to record tom waits cookie monster core
on the 4 track.
i haven't thought about that band in ages.
i never saw mortician play live.
the only grindcore bands i ever saw were local people from seattle and those shows were so stinky with b.o. that i always ended up leaving.
i know there must be at least one person who did vocals for a grindcore band wearing a cookie monster costume. there must be....
and, man is the bastard and damad are great bands to listen to, especially after spending all day dealing with annoying people on the phone.
