Making good food

I am looking for new things to eat that require no blenders or food processors and minimum fuss. I was looking into raw cuisine but almost every dish requires a spiral shredding contraption or a dozen other machines. What assholes! So cooking is bad but using a bunch of electricity and buying a bunch of plastic bullshit is awesome, right? Whatever raw foodies.

I have made this many times and everyone loves it. It is tasty.

So if anybody has any good recipes (especially involving fresh oregano, thyme, and italian parsley, which I need to use very soon) post them.

well....

here's a quick sauce that i make to put on grilled fish or vegetables....

1 or 2 shotglasses full of good, flavorful olive oil
1 lemon
italian parsley
some salt-packed capers (which are worth seeking out, since they taste better than the kind packed in brine)
sauteed garlic (optional)

juice the lemon and stir it into a small bowl with the olive oil. rinse and soak the capers to get rid of some of the salt; chop the capers, garlic, and parsley and add to the bowl. mix well, set aside for 20 minutes or so to let the flavors meld, and serve as a completely delicious sauce. note: when i'm cooking, i very seldom measure ingredients, so i can't really give you precise quantities. (baking is of course, a completely different story.)

i'd post my own recipe for the best gazpacho on earth, but it's not tomato season yet and therefore pointless to try and make it.

good luck...

Get lots of olive oil in a

Get lots of olive oil in a mortar and pestle, or just a bowl with a spoon.

Stick heaps of thyme and oregano leaves (not stems) in the oil.

Bash / crush the herbs into the olive oil uintil the oil goes green(er).

Get some chicken legs.

Stick the oil all over them.

Sprinkle on salt and pepper.

Stick them in a hot oven still they are all brown.

Eat them.

If you want to use up all your herbs, just make lots of green herb oil. It keeps.
