Logical disconnect or hypocrisy?

I've been trying to hold to the maxim that "my enemy's enemy is not my friend," and yet I always end up having an affinity for people who share my hates.

I hate innane people, and have a crushing fear that I, myself, am innane, therefore hypocritical, and thus doubly damned.
