You see, I just watched the first five minutes and I've already done physical damage to my screen.
McCain comes out and talks about Sen. Kennedy in the hospital. What the fuck?
I hope that annoying cough of his keeps up all night.

McCain blames economic failure on the regulatory over-sight agencies!!!?!
They've been gutted and hog-tied by this Republican administration, with his backing.
Arrrrrggggghhhhhhh! I can't take it.
I can't watch anymore.
I've got a couple shots of tequila in me and now I'm gonna listen to some '80s hardcore.

I'm trying to think of debate drinking games to make the next one more enjoyable. I was thinking a shot every time Main St and Wall St are mentioned in the same sentence, but that might end in the emergency room. I was kinda puzzled by McCain's seeming outrage about what Obama should say about Pakistan "out loud." I guess he was hoping that the Pakastanis wouldn't notice the cross border raids? "We would've gotten away with it too, if it weren't for that darn kid." McCain does really remind me more than anything of a Scooby Doo villain. It was old man McCain who was haunting the abandoned amusement park this whole time! Fuck, I guess the other thing that struck me was how bad McCain is at using his canned one liners like the one about the $3 million bear study. "I don't know if that was a paternity issue or a criminal issue." har har, get some new material. How much does it cost to study whether or not the grizzly is still an endangered species? 0.0004% of the $700 billion bonus for the financial sector for services rendered or %0.0003 of the $1,000,000,000,000,000 W and McCain have scrounged up in tax cuts for their buddies over the last 8 years kinda seems like small potatoes.

I call it as a near tie

It's hard to be fair when watching these things when you've already made up your mind about who you want to win. But overall, to me at least, it seemed like Obama was much more detailed, coherent, and on point. The canned stuff that McCain threw in was very obvious when contrasted to Obama's seemingly off the cuff answers (most of which I'm sure were also memorized). And there were a few answers there where it just seemed like McCain was drifting from topic to topic like he'd lost his train of thought completely. Obama had at least marginally more substance to his answers and seemed to command a more nuanced knowledge of the topics he talked about.

I don't see where the so called punditry are getting a McCain win out of this. At best it was a draw.
