Six months ago, we decided to move PunkPlanet.com to a different web host. While we were at it, we decided to upgrade some of the technologies that drove it (which, come to think of it, were basically nonexistent). It seemed like a simple undertaking. It wasn't.
Because we DIY it here at Punk Planet, and because I am quite stubborn, we decided to learn how to make a modern website instead of hiring someone else to do so. I have spent so many nights up late, reading about PHP and SQL and CSS and many other three-lettered acronyms that used to be meaningless to me and now are second-nature. I have logged many hours charging ahead in incorrect directions; countless days creating more problems than I was fixing.
But now, finally, this site is ready. We go live after the weekend is up. And I, for one, can barely contain myself I'm so excited.
All your hard work seems to be paying off!!! The new site is great! It's been so long. I can't wait until more people (re-)join the tribe.
